Unable to select records, sync issue

v9.5.1 (on Win11, Android) Using the Windows desktop app, I deleted many records. I subsequently wanted to empty the recycle bin. Going to the recycle bin, clicking the "Select" checkbox checks it, then immediately UNchecks itself. Unable to "select" multiple records in the recycle bin. Ended up having to do it on the web interface, which was equally quirky (also unchecking itself), but if I did it fast enough, I was able to get them selected and deleted. Parallel, prior to record deletion in the recycle bin, I noticed that the recycle bin was not syncing to the Android app, despite multiple forced syncs. Both the web interface and the desktop app showed the same number of records in the recycle bin - but the Android app showed nothing.
