Just did a large reply, then had to sign into this system and it lost it all. I will try and remember what I put. With 3) I installed this version of the Beta over the last version. All the icons, etc. should already be on the device, and in fairness they did display quickly. Also, I now see (perhaps after a lot of processing) that I can search and select records which I search for, but the scrolling of the records is still not working for me and using the alphabet index isn't working either (although that does scroll). Does SplashID work in the background once you've signed in? If I sign in and switch to another app to get on with something else, when I switch back to SplashID will it have progressed with what it was doing or just pick up from where I left it? Hopefully the former!
The app will continue processing as long as it is not locked. Sync in the background will put the auto lock on hold. So if you use other apps, the processing will continue.
Your Item 2: I have had same problem. I am using 4K monitor. SplashID always opens partially off screen. I reposition it, then close it, and it is supposed to remember where it was upon reopening, but it does not do that. I reported also and sent screen shots to them.
We will have this fixed in the next beta release. The cause was detected and a fix is being worked upon.
I'm testing on Samsung Galaxy S24+ (Kernel 6.1.99) and Windows 11 (24H2, build 26100.5074). I'm unable to duplicate numbers 1 and 2 here, but I'm having similar issues with the Android app. I've tried both ways... setting to sync on open, and also turning that off... but either way, neither the records or the letters will scroll. It's not hung; I'm able to access any record that I can see, plus I CAN search/filter - but regardless, nothing will scroll.
Thanks for the detailed report. Appreciate it. 1) It is quite likely as you described. We will check it out to see if anything can be done for it. 2) We have a fix for this and it should go out in the next beta release in the coming days. 3) I see a large number of custom icons in your account. If it is a fresh install or a first time sync, it will take quite some time. We need to relook at our system design on how to handle accounts with large number of icons and attachments efficiently. For now if you could get the app to complete the first sync over a 'good' connection successfully, then subsequent syncs will be quick. If you could try this and let us know how it feels then it will be great.
